Shahrukh Khan, popularly known as the "King of Bollywood," is a highly acclaimed Indian actor, film producer, and television personality. Born on November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, India, Shahrukh spent most of his childhood in the Rajendra Nagar area of Delhi.

Shahrukh's father, Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist and owned a transport company, while his mother, Lateef Fatima, was a magistrate. Shahrukh has an elder sister named Shehnaz Lalarukh. Growing up, Shahrukh was an excellent student and excelled in sports, especially football and hockey.

After completing his schooling at St. Columba's School in Delhi, Shahrukh pursued his bachelor's degree in economics at Hansraj College. He later earned a master's degree in mass communication at Jamia Millia Islamia. During his college days, Shahrukh actively participated in theater and won many accolades for his performances.

In 1988, Shahrukh moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. Initially, he struggled to find work and worked odd jobs to make ends meet. In 1991, he made his acting debut in the television series "Fauji," where he played the role of Lt. Abhimanyu Rai. The series was a huge success, and Shahrukh gained widespread recognition for his performance.

In 1992, Shahrukh made his film debut in the romantic drama "Deewana," which was a commercial success. He went on to star in several successful films like "Baazigar," "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge," "Dil To Pagal Hai," "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," "Mohabbatein," and many more. He has won numerous awards for his acting, including fourteen Filmfare Awards, which is the most by any Indian actor.

Apart from acting, Shahrukh is also a successful film producer and has produced several films under his production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. He is also a co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, a team in the Indian Premier League, and the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League.

In addition to his contributions to the film industry, Shahrukh is also known for his philanthropic work. He is the founder of the non-profit organization, Meer Foundation, which works towards women empowerment and provides support to acid attack survivors.

Shahrukh Khan's contribution to Indian cinema has been immense, and he is regarded as one of the greatest actors in the history of Indian cinema. His charming personality, impeccable acting skills, and dedication to his craft have won him millions of fans all over the world.
