Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday released rainfall data in Sindh for this year's monsoon season whereby the heaviest rainfall, measured 1539.5 mm, was recorded at Padidan in Naushahro district Feroze of this province.
The Met Office has released data for Karachi and other parts of Sindh for July and August.
Mohenjo Daro received 811.5 mm, Larkana 721.3 mm, Tando Jam 689.9 mm, Khairpur 660 mm, Jacobabad 654 mm, Chur 610.9 mm, Rohri 581 mm, Badin 543.2 mm, Sakrand 538mm, Sukkur 478.5mm, Dadu 471.9mm, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mithi 329mm and Mirpur Khas 450mm.
According to PMD, 407mm of rain was recorded in Hyderabad, while the highest rainfall in Karachi was 862mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed.
Additionally, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Masroor Base received 713.9mm, Quaidabad 670.1mm, Defense Housing Authority (DHA) 612mm, PAF Faisal Base 583.1mm, Surjani Town 556mm, Nazimabad 477.1mm, Old Airport 466.6mm, Saddar 445.2mm, Gulshan-e-Maymar 437.1mm, Orangi Town 426.1mm, University Road 424.1mm, Jinnah Terminal 379.1 mm, Saadi Town 388 mm, Gadap Town 351 mm and Korangi recorded 306 mm rainfall.
